Whip up some irresistible sugar cookies with just a mix. Easy and delicious treat awaits!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • Betty Crocker™ green, red, orange and yellow sugars
  • 3/4 cup from 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • M&M's® minis chocolate candies
  • Betty Crocker™ red or orange decorator icing (from 4.25-oz tube) or gel (from 0.68-oz tube)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface. Use a 3- to 3 1/2-inch round cookie cutter to cut out 18 rounds. Arrange 9 rounds on an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until lightly golden around edges. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • For "turkey feathers," slice each remaining round into 6 equal wedges. Arrange 9 wedges 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle the remaining 45 wedges with colored sugars as desired and place them 1 inch apart on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake the wedges until they are light golden brown around the edges, which typically takes 7 to 9 minutes. Allow them to cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Frost round cookies and decorate with wedges as shown. Attach candy-coated candies for eyes and draw feet with icing to match the photo.
