Spooky Halloween ham and cheese board shaped like a severed hand, chilling with crackers, hot sauce "blood," and a dagger.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 pounds cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped roasted red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Combine cream cheese, red pepper, parsley, black pepper, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm, covered with plastic wrap.
  • Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet with the traced hand face down.
  • Using two teaspoons, gently fill the hand template with the chilled cheese mixture, focusing on building up the cheese in the correct areas to sculpt a 3-dimensional hand and wrist shape.
  • Wrap with plastic and freeze until solid, approximately 1 hour.
  • Carefully slice the fingers from the hand and separate the hand from the wrist using a knife. Wrap each piece with prosciutto, ensuring to tuck any excess meat underneath. Cover the pieces and place them in the freezer for about 1 hour, or until you are prepared to finish assembling the hand.
  • Start by elegantly arranging the prosciutto hand onto a serving board, ensuring to attach the fingers and wrist delicately. Let your own hand guide you as you position each piece artfully. Use an extra layer of prosciutto to seamlessly cover any seams, adding a touch of sophistication and emphasizing each detail. Chill in the refrigerator until it's time to impress your guests.
