Elevate your biscuits with this stylish slice recipe using pantry essentials.
Ingredients:
  • 128.75 gm milk
  • 500g packet Assorted Cream biscuits
  • 190g self-raising flour
  • 55g almond meal
  • 150g butter, at room temperature
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 1/2 caster sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced). Grease a 28 x 18cm slice pan and line it with baking paper, making sure the paper hangs over the edges on two sides.
  • Combine butter and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter melts and mixture is combined (sugar will not completely dissolve). Transfer to a large bowl and let cool, stirring occasionally to release the heat.
  • Pour in the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk gently to combine. Mix in the almond meal and sifted flour. Carefully fold with the whisk (avoid overmixing). Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan. Evenly place the biscuits on top, pressing lightly into the mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the slice springs back when lightly touched in the center. Let it cool for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack using parchment paper. Slice into pieces using a small serrated knife.
