Moist banana bread with extra milk for richness.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup margarine
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt by sifting.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sugar and butter or margarine until creamy. Gently beat the egg and fold it into the mixture along with the bananas. Gradually add the sifted ingredients until just combined. Stir in milk and nuts. Transfer the batter into a greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until the top is beautifully golden with charming cracks.
