Savory beef round steak topped with a delicious medley of fresh veggies and aromatic garlic - a flavorful dinner delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound boneless beef round steak
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoned salt (such as LAWRY'S®)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, or as needed
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 0.25 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 cup chopped carrots
  • 0.25 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while you generously grease a shallow baking dish.
  • Divide the steak into four pieces and gently pound each piece to a 1/4-inch thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and seasoned salt. Lightly coat the meat with approximately 1 tablespoon of flour, ensuring even coverage.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sear beef in hot oil until fully browned on all sides, about 3 to 5 minutes each. Place beef in a prepared baking dish, keeping the flavorful drippings in the skillet.
  • Add tomatoes, onion, green bell pepper, beef broth, carrots, celery, garlic, 1 tablespoon flour, and Worcestershire sauce to the drippings. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring for 2 minutes. Pour over the meat in the baking dish and cover with foil.
  • Bake beef until ultra tender for around 90 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake uncovered until melted, for 3 to 5 minutes.
