Homemade tomato sauce with fresh garlic, basil, and top-notch olive oil. Let it marinate and serve over hot pasta.
Ingredients:
  • 5 tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound pasta
Instructions:
  • In a non-metal bowl, mix together tomatoes, garlic, basil, and olive oil. Season with salt, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate at room temperature for at least 2 hours, or up to 10 hours.
  • Boil pasta until perfectly al dente in salted water. Drain. Toss hot pasta with uncooked sauce. Top with as much grated Parmesan cheese as you desire.
