Almond and garlic baby brussels sprouts

Transform Brussels sprouts into a crowd-pleasing side dish that will win over even picky eaters.
Ingredients:
  • 300g pkt baby brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1 bunch baby carrots, trimmed, scrubbed
  • 60g butter
  • 125.00 ml slivered almonds
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Chargrilled lamb cutlets, to serve
Instructions:
  • Steam the sprouts and carrots over gently simmering water until they are just tender, about 7-10 minutes. Set aside.
  • Heat butter and oil in a large frying pan over medium heat until butter foams. Add almonds and garlic, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  • Turn up the heat to medium-high. Add the sprouts and carrots, then cook, stirring occasionally, for 1-2 minutes. Season to taste.
  • Enjoy this dish as a perfect complement to juicy lamb cutlets.
