Hearty lasagna loaded with layers of provolone, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, savory beef, herbs, and rich red sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar sausage flavored spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfectly cooked dish.
  • Prepare the sauce: In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef and garlic powder, cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain grease, then add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and oregano. Simmer covered for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Combine the mozzarella and provolone in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta, milk, eggs, and oregano.
  • Pour a generous amount of sauce to cover the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange three lasagna noodles on the sauce, followed by more sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella mixture. Repeat this layering once with all of the remaining cheese mixtures. Add another layer of three lasagna noodles and remaining sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake covered for 30 minutes in preheated oven, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.
