Irresistible winter dessert: Warm fruity base with crunchy oat crumble.
Ingredients:
  • 800g can pie apples
  • 250.00 ml frozen blueberries (see note)
  • 53.75 gm caster sugar
  • 100.00 gm rolled oats
  • 111.38 gm maple syrup
  • 62.50 ml flaked almonds
  • 1.88 gm ground cinnamon
  • 30g butter, melted
  • 4 scoops low-fat vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Mix together apples, blueberries, and sugar in a bowl, then transfer the mixture into a 4-cup ovenproof dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together oats, maple syrup, almonds, and cinnamon. Add butter and stir until combined. Sprinkle the crumble over the fruit mixture.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is a beautiful golden brown. Serve warm with a scoop of creamy ice cream.
