Apple martini cookie bars with vodka and fresh green apple slices. Perfect for cocktail parties.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 large green apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 cups bottled sour apple drink mix
  • 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup vodka
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Combine flour, powdered sugar, salt, and butter in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture becomes crumbly. Press the mixture into the baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, coat apple slices with granulated sugar. Place the apple slices in a single layer on the crust, ensuring they do not overlap. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the crust edges are lightly browned. Allow to cool on a rack.
  • In a large heatproof bowl, pour 1 cup of sour apple drink mix and sprinkle gelatin over it. Let it stand for 1 minute. Heat the remaining 1 cup of sour apple drink mix until boiling, then pour it over the gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Finally, add the vodka and stir until well blended.
  • Pour the mixture evenly over the apple layer. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours until set. Cut into 8 rows by 3 rows for serving.
