Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Kid-friendly white fish with spinach. Adaptable family recipe from Aunt, customizable to taste.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 0.33333334326744 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect bake.
  • Combine spinach, 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, 5 tablespoons dry bread crumbs, and egg in a bowl. Spread this mixture in a small baking dish. Place cod fillets on top, season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with the remaining Cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Bake covered in a preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the fish easily flakes with a fork.
