Historic family recipe, bursting with flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.33333334326744 cup granulated sugar for decoration
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease your cookie sheets.
  • Combine butter and sugar in a medium bowl, and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together, then mix into the butter mixture. Fold in rolled oats.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls and space them 3 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet. Gently press down on each cookie using the bottom of a water-dipped glass coated in sugar. If needed, sugar the glass in between. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are slightly golden. Store in an airtight container.
