Create adorable snowmen cake pops, perfect for the holidays - almost too cute to devour!
Ingredients:
  • Jumbo snowflake sprinkles
  • Toothpicks
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix (or your favorite flavor)
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting (or any non-chip, no-nut flavor)
  • Waxed paper
  • Cookie sheets
  • 3 bags (12 oz each) white candy coating
  • Paper lollipop sticks
  • Orange candy-coated sunflower seeds
  • 1 bag (12 oz) blue candy coating
  • White sanding sugar
  • Black edible pen
  • Blue mini candy-coated power mint candies
  • Pink confetti sprinkles
  • Black confetti sprinkles
  • Block of white plastic craft foam
Instructions:
  • Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions for a 13x9-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into a large bowl.
  • Combine cake and frosting until evenly mixed using a large spoon.
  • Shape mixture into small cake balls and place on a waxed paper-lined tray. Freeze for 15 minutes to set, then refrigerate to maintain a chilled consistency.
  • Place the white candy coating in a microwavable bowl, making sure it is at least three to four inches deep. Microwave uncovered in 30-second intervals on Low, stirring in between each interval until fully melted and smooth.
  • Take a few cake balls out of the fridge. Dip a lollipop stick in melted coating, then push it into a cake ball halfway. Dip the cake pop in one smooth motion to coat it entirely. If the coating is too thick, add some vegetable oil to thin it out.
  • Remove any excess coating by gently tapping the pop back into the bowl. While the coating is still wet, press an orange candy-coated sunflower seed in place for the nose and let it dry in craft foam.
  • Have fun arranging candy and sprinkles creatively to add fun and unique expressions and details to your dish.
  • Dip white cake pops into melted blue candy coating at an angle, sprinkle with white sanding sugar while coating is wet. Add more blue candy coating with a toothpick, sprinkle with more sanding sugar. Use toothpick to make gentle indentions on cap's brim. For a white brim, apply white candy coating with toothpick, sprinkle with white sugar.
  • Enhance the snowmen's features by using a black edible pen for eyes and mouths. Add character with a variety of sprinkles and toppings. Attach blue mini candy-coated power mint candies for earmuffs and pink confetti sprinkles for rosy cheeks using a small amount of coating. Achieve coal eyes and mouths with black confetti sprinkles. Finish by decorating their hats with jumbo snowflake sprinkles. Allow to dry fully before enjoying!
