Delightful Indian appetizers perfect for family snacking or TV time.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1/2 small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 125g beef mince
  • 120g potato
  • 5.00 gm mild curry powder
  • 62.50 ml frozen peas
  • 20.00 ml fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • Lime wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a medium frying pan over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add mince and potato, cook until mince is browned. Stir in curry powder, add water, bring to a boil, then simmer. Add peas, cook until heated through. Finish with coriander, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Let cool for 20 minutes before serving.
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan-forced and lightly grease 2 large baking trays before lining them with baking paper.
  • Cut 16 rounds from pastry sheets using an 8cm round cutter. Spoon 2 level teaspoons of mince mixture onto the center of each round. Brush edges with egg wash. Fold over pastry to enclose the filling, then pinch edges together to seal. Transfer to prepared trays and brush the tops with more egg wash.
  • Bake until golden and puffed, typically 20-25 minutes. Serve with lime wedges.
