Garlic angel hair pasta topped with Parmesan and parsley, paired with breaded Parmesan beef cube steak, baked with onions, bell peppers, and mozzarella.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds beef cube steak
  • 1 onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced in rings
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 16 ounces Classico® Tomato and Basil Sauce
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Cut the cube steak into serving-size pieces. Coat the meat with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté 1 teaspoon of garlic for 3 minutes. Quickly brown the meat on both sides. Arrange the meat in a casserole dish, slightly overlapping the edges. Top with onion rings and peppers, then pour pasta sauce over everything.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the meat reaches desired doneness. Sprinkle mozzarella over the meat and return to the oven until bubbly.
  • Cook pasta until it is perfectly tender. Drain, then mix in butter and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. For extra garlic flavor, sprinkle with garlic powder. Finish with a generous amount of grated parmesan and fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve by placing meat and sauce over a hearty portion of pasta. Pro Tip: Prepare the meat the day before and refrigerate overnight to enhance tenderness. Wait to add mozzarella until right before serving.
