Vanilla cupcakes with irresistible honeycomb topping.
Ingredients:
  • 450g pkt vanilla cupcake mix
  • 60g butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 160ml milk
  • 8g pkt mini icing flowers decorations
  • 8g pkt mini icing bumble bee decorations
  • Natural honeycomb, to decorate
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 480g icing sugar mixture
  • 20.60 gm milk
  • 4.40 gm vanilla essence
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a 1/3-cup (80ml) muffin pan with 12 paper cases. Prepare cupcakes with cupcake mix, butter, eggs, and milk according to package instructions (save icing for later use). Allow to cool completely.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip the butter in a bowl until it turns very pale. Slowly incorporate the icing sugar in batches, making sure to beat well after each addition. Mix in the milk and vanilla until well combined.
  • Fill a piping bag, fitted with a 1cm plain nozzle, with buttercream. Pipe the buttercream onto the cupcakes to create a beehive shape. Decorate with flower and bumble bee decorations, then finish by adding honeycomb on top.
