Start your day right with a nutritious low-fat berry and oat breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 100.00 gm organic rolled oats
  • 262.50 gm unsweetened (no added sugar) apple juice
  • 1 red apple, do not peel
  • 80.00 ml natural yoghurt
  • 250.00 ml mixed fresh berries, to serve
  • Honey, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine oats and apple juice in a large jar with a tight-fitting lid. Shake well to mix. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight, until the oats absorb the juice and the mixture thickens.
  • Grate the apple, discard the core. Mix the grated apple and yogurt into the oats. Finish by exclaiming "voila" as you have successfully made bircher muesli.
  • Spoon the muesli into serving bowls, scatter fresh berries on top, and finish with a generous drizzle of honey. Enjoy your delicious breakfast!
