Classic kid-friendly meatloaf recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon crumbled dried sage
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine beaten eggs, milk, bread crumbs, onion, salt, black pepper, and sage in a bowl until thoroughly mixed. Gently incorporate ground beef, then press the mixture into the loaf pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until the loaf is no longer pink inside and the juices run clear. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the loaf should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  • Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and dry mustard powder until sugar dissolves. Spread topping over baked meatloaf and bake an additional 10 minutes until set.
