Juicy ribs smoked for 7 hours with a flavorful blend of apple juice and garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 5 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 0.5 gallon apple juice
  • 1 head garlic, separated into cloves
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce
Instructions:
  • Get the smoker ready with charcoal and bring the heat up to 225°F (110°C).
  • Cut the ribs into 3 or 4 rib portions and add them to a large pot. Pour in apple juice until they are covered. Bring to a boil with the lid on, then let sit for 15 minutes off the heat.
  • Prepare your smoker by lightly greasing the grate. Arrange the ribs on the grate and add a couple of garlic cloves to the hot coals. Close the smoker and sustain the temperature at 225 degrees F (110 degrees C), replenishing charcoal as necessary. Smoke the ribs for 7 hours, intermittently tossing in more garlic cloves for flavor.
  • Combine the barbeque sauce and 2 cups of apple juice from the pot, then add granulated garlic for flavor. Use this sauce to baste the ribs and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
