Easter recipe featuring honey-glazed almonds nestled in alfalfa sprout nests.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups romaine lettuce leaves, torn into bite size pieces
  • 0.25 cup sliced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced white onion
  • 0.25 cup ranch salad dressing, or to taste
  • 0.75 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup honey-glazed almonds
Instructions:
  • To cook the egg, submerge it in a saucepan filled with water until it's covered by 1 inch. Boil the water, then let the egg sit in the hot water for 15 minutes. Remove, cool under cold running water, and peel before slicing.
  • In a salad bowl, layer the lettuce, bell pepper, and onion evenly. Drizzle the dressing over the top. Separate the sprouts and create a nest shape on the salad. Season the egg slices with salt and pepper, then place them in the center of the nest along with the honey-glazed almonds.
