Spicy jalapeno halves filled with creamy Cheddar, topped with crispy bacon - a hot and cheesy appetizer perfect for grilling.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices hickory-smoked bacon, cut in half crosswise
  • 12 large jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 1 (6 ounce) tub whipped cream cheese at room temperature
  • 6 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil.
  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat in batches until it turns translucent and remains flexible, about 2 minutes per side. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside.
  • Prepare the jalapeno peppers by trimming the membranes to control spiciness. Rinse the peppers and set them aside.
  • Combine whipped cream cheese and Cheddar cheese in a bowl until fully blended; mix in Worcestershire sauce. Transfer cheese mixture into a piping bag with a large tip. Fill pepper halves generously with the cheese mixture. Top each filled pepper with a pre-cooked bacon strip and arrange on a baking sheet.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese filling is bubbly and the bacon is lightly browned, for about 8 to 14 minutes. Serve piping hot.
