Spicy jalapeno onion burgers with a bold kick, perfect for game day grilling.
Ingredients:
5fresh jalapeno peppers
4pounds ground beef
1egg
0.25 cupsteak sauce, (e.g. Heinz 57)
0.25 cupmincedwhite onion
1teaspoonhot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
1pinchdried oregano
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
1teaspoongarlic salt
0.25 cupcrushedFritos® corn chips
8 large potato hamburger buns
8slicespepperjack cheese
Instructions:
Preheat the grill until it's super hot. Grill the jalapeno peppers until they are blackened all over. Transfer them to a plastic bag to steam and peel off the blackened skin. Remove the seeds if preferred, then chop the peppers.
Combine chopped jalapenos, ground beef, salt, pepper, egg, steak sauce, onion, hot pepper sauce, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and Fritos® in a large bowl. Form the mixture into 8 patties by shaping them from balls.
Grill patties for 10-15 minutes, flipping once, until well done. Enjoy a beer, then flip the patties, savor another beer, and place them on buns. Top each with a slice of pepperjack cheese and indulge in a delicious feast!
