Kids' sweet treasure excavation activity.
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 107.50 gm caster sugar
  • 0.63 gm cream of tartar
  • 3 x 150g packets chocolate sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 140°C/120°C fan-forced and prepare 2 baking trays by lining them with baking paper.
  • With an electric mixer, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff, glossy peaks form. Mix in cream of tartar. Transfer mixture to a large snap-lock bag and snip off one corner to pipe bone shapes onto prepared trays. Bake for 40 minutes or until crisp. Allow to cool on trays.
  • Spread one-third of the bones evenly in a 24cm x 30cm swiss roll pan, ensuring they are completely coated in chocolate sprinkles. Serve as desired, adding more bones if needed for presentation.
