Grilled Black Mission figs with creamy Burrata on Italian bread, drizzled with balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients:
  • 12 Black Mission figs, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 ounces Burrata cheese, thickly sliced
  • 6 (1/2 inch thick) slices Italian bread, toasted
  • sea salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Heat up your grill outside until it's nice and hot, then give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Grill figs skin-side down until they swell and bubble, for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Combine the balsamic vinegar and olive oil, whisking vigorously until well blended, which should take about 1 minute.
  • Top each piece of toast with creamy Burrata cheese. Surround the bread with luscious figs and generously drizzle with a balsamic vinegar mixture. Season to perfection with a sprinkle of sea salt and a dash of black pepper.
