Cardamom Chicken with Salt and Pepper Crust

Enhance flavor with a robust marinade, then elevate with Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper for ultimate deliciousness.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.75 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Combine garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and cardamom in a resealable plastic bag. Add chicken thighs and evenly coat them by gently squeezing the bag. Remove excess air and seal the bag. Refrigerate and marinate for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the chicken out of the marinade, then place it on a broiling pan or baking sheet. Season generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Roast in the oven for 40 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown, crispy, and fully cooked.
