Crowd-pleasing meatball sliders, made with only 6 ingredients. Ideal for entertaining a group!
Ingredients:
  • 9.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 400g packet beef and lamb meatballs
  • 400g tomato pasta sauce
  • 3 x half-dozen slabs white lunchbox bread rolls (see notes)
  • 500.00 ml pizza cheese
  • Olive oil cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan-forced and line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  • In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear meatballs until golden brown all over, about 4 minutes. Stir in pasta sauce and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
  • With a sharp bread knife, slice the bread rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached. Arrange the bottom halves on a baking tray. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Place a meatball with some sauce on each roll base (you'll have 2 meatballs left). Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the meatballs. Place the top halves of the rolls. Lightly spray with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake until rolls turn golden and cheese is melted, about 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
