Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup chopped almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, maple syrup, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, salt, cayenne pepper, and cocoa powder. Whisk until fully combined. Add oats and almonds, then stir with a spatula to coat evenly. Spread the mixture on a silicone-lined baking sheet.
  • Place granola in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Use a fork to break up clumps and achieve a finer texture. Bake for an additional 30 to 60 minutes until desired texture is achieved. To check readiness, sprinkle some granola on a plate; a clinking sound means it's ready. Turn off the oven and let the granola dry and cool to room temperature inside.
