Easy classic peanut butter cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • In a stand mixer, cream together butter, white sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until smooth.
  • Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl and beater. Add the egg and mix for approximately 1 minute.
  • Gradually add flour to the mixer on low speed, ensuring to scrape down the sides of the bowl and beater. Increase the speed to medium and mix until well combined, approximately 30 seconds.
  • Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Divide the cookie dough into uniform balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat. Shape the balls into smooth rounds using slightly wet hands, then press each one with a fork to create a criss-cross pattern.
  • Place in the oven until golden, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Allow the dish to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving it to a cooling rack.
