Creamy chicken and rice soup with celery, onion, and a rich, velvety milk broth.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup chopped celery
  • 0.75 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups chopped, boiled chicken
  • 1 cup milk
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Simmer celery, onion, rice, bouillon, and water for around 20 minutes, or until the rice has absorbed most of the liquid. Take off the heat.
  • Create a luxurious cream base by blending butter and flour in a small skillet until it forms a paste. Pour in 2 cups of milk and whisk until a velvety sauce is achieved.
  • Stir in the cream base with the rice, then add chicken and 1 cup of milk. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed. Season with pepper to your liking, then serve piping hot.
