Indulgent chicken liver pâté featuring a velvety mix of liver, onions, garlic, and sherry, perfect for slathering on toast or crackers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 0.25 pound chicken livers, trimmed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 0.33000001311302 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • hot sauce to taste
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic, onion, and chicken livers. Sauté over low heat until chicken livers are tender and no longer pink, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Add the chicken liver mixture to a blender along with dry sherry, cream cheese, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth, then transfer the mixture to a medium bowl. For optimum flavor, chill the pâté in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving.
