Chicken coated in flour, sauteed in Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms. A delectable dish that's rich and tender.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter, divided
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1.5 pounds skinless, boneless chicken meat - cut into 12 pieces
  • 2 slices bacon, diced
  • 0.25 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup dry Marsala wine
Instructions:
  • In a medium skillet, melt a luxurious tablespoon of butter and saute the mushrooms until they are tender. Transfer the mushrooms to a cozy, covered bowl to keep them warm and flavorful.
  • Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Coat chicken in the flour mixture. In the same skillet, cook bacon over low heat until done but not crispy. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and saute the chicken for 2 minutes on each side over medium heat, adding more butter if needed to prevent burning.
  • Place the chicken on a serving platter and keep it warm. In a bowl, gradually whisk water into cornstarch until smooth, then stir in the wine. Pour this sauce into a skillet with the reserved mushrooms and cook until it thickens and boils. Finally, pour this flavorful sauce over the warm chicken and enjoy your delicious meal.
