Upgrade your pasta bake by adding flavorful roasted chicken for a delicious twist!
Ingredients:
  • 60g butter
  • 62.50 ml plain flour
  • 643.75 gm milk
  • 300g cooked rigatoni pasta
  • 500.00 ml barbecued chicken, shredded
  • 375.00 ml frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corns, carrots)
  • 250.00 ml tasty cheese, grated
  • 20.00 ml parsley, chopped
  • Salad, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180C. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the flour and cook for 1 minute while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and whisk in the milk until smooth. Return to heat and cook until the sauce boils and thickens. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Mix in 1/2 cup of cheese until it's melted and well combined. Take it off the heat, then fold in the rigatoni, chicken, veggies, and season to your preference.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 2-liter oven-safe dish. Top it with 1/2 cup of flavorful cheese and fresh parsley. Bake for 20-25 minutes until beautifully golden. Enjoy alongside a crisp salad.
