Classic dish with flavorful black bean sauce base.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves, peeled and sliced
  • 6 tablespoons black bean sauce
  • 0.75 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast half - cut into cubes
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon dissolved in
  • 0.5 cup boiling water
  • 1 large onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1.5 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a wok over medium heat until hot, then add the toasted sesame oil and heat for 30 seconds. 2. Stir in garlic and black bean sauce, season with salt, then add the chicken. 3. Cook the chicken until done, stirring constantly. 4. Pour in the dissolved chicken bouillon, cover, and cook for 6 minutes.
  • Add onion, green onions, and bell pepper to the pan, then season them with soy sauce and black pepper. Cover and simmer for 8 minutes. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir continuously until the sauce thickens. Finish by stirring in the fresh cilantro before serving.
