Crispy Nigerian snack made with a flavorful 5-ingredient dough, fried to golden perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, a decadent 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons of butter, and a hint of nutmeg in a large bowl, blending until thoroughly mixed. Gently fold in 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of creamy milk until a cohesive dough forms.
  • Flatten the dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface, then cut it into small pieces.
  • In a deep-fryer or large saucepan, heat oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C. Fry dough pieces in batches until golden brown and they float to the surface, about 3 to 5 minutes.
