Decadent chocolate peanut bars that are irresistible.
Ingredients:
  • 225.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 42.50 gm desiccated coconut
  • 90.00 gm brown sugar
  • 150g butter, melted
  • 60g dark chocolate, melted
  • 180g block white chocolate, chopped
  • 83.33 gm thickened cream
  • 130.00 gm peanut butter
  • 82.50 ml granulated nuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease an 18cm x 28cm slice pan, then line it with baking paper, leaving a 3cm overhang on all sides.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, coconut, sugar, and butter. Press the mixture over the base of the prepared pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and slightly firm to the touch. Allow to cool completely.
  • Create ganache: Combine chocolate and cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50%) for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds with a metal spoon until velvety and blended. Mix in peanut butter and nuts. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Pour over the base, cover, and refrigerate for 4 hours until set.
  • Cut the dish into appealing triangle shapes, generously drizzle with luscious chocolate sauce, and allow it to rest for 15 minutes to firm up before serving.
