Bacon-infused sauerkraut cooked with sugar.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound bacon
  • 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
Instructions:
  • In a large deep skillet, sizzle the bacon over medium-high heat until it turns beautifully brown. Remove the bacon to crumble it, saving the flavorful drippings for later use.
  • In medium saucepan, warm sauerkraut with water over medium heat. Add crumbled bacon, sugar, and 3 to 4 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Simmer for 20 minutes or until heated. Season with salt and pepper.
