Grilled picanha beef marinated in lemon juice and garlic salt, Brazilian churrascaria style.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, crushed, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or more to taste
  • 1 pound beef top sirloin, trimmed of excess fat
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine crushed garlic and salt in a bowl, mixing until a paste forms.
  • Coat meat with garlic paste and drench it in lemon juice in a bowl. Let it marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours until infused with flavor. Remove meat from lemon juice and generously brush with olive oil before cooking.
  • Get your outdoor grill nice and hot and give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Grill the meat, flipping often until edges are charred and center is rare, approximately 5 minutes. Trim off charred edges by slicing against the grain. Place the rare center back on the grill. Grill until firm, slightly pink inside, about 5 minutes per side. Use a thermometer to check for 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
