Healthy, flaky dairy-free pie crust made with coconut oil. Recipe yields 2 crusts perfect for sweet or savory pies.
Ingredients:
  • 3.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup refined coconut oil
  • 5 tablespoons ice cold water, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, blend together the flour, coconut oil, and salt until they form a cohesive mixture.
  • Pour in 5 tablespoons of ice-cold water and pulse. Gradually drizzle in 1 tablespoon of water at a time while the food processor is running on low speed until a cohesive dough comes together.
  • Shape dough into a ball using your hands, then divide it in half to make 2 pie crusts.
  • Dust a work surface and rolling pin with flour, then carefully roll out the dough.
