Elevate your meal with this irresistible mashed side dish!
Ingredients:
  • 3 rashers middle bacon, rind removed, finely chopped
  • 375.00 ml shredded savoy cabbage
  • 800g desiree potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 128.75 gm milk, warmed
  • 50g butter, chopped
  • Finely chopped fresh chives, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, sizzle bacon and cabbage together until the cabbage wilts and the bacon crisps up, about 5 minutes.
  • Boil potatoes in a large pot of salty water until tender. Drain and return to the pot. Mash until smooth, then add bacon, milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well and serve topped with fresh chives.
