Spicy shrimp, chicken, and sausage simmered with rice in a flavorful broth for a hassle-free slow cooker jambalaya.
Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) candiced tomatoes with juice
1poundskinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes
1poundandouille sausage, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1cupchoppedcelery
1cupchicken broth
2teaspoons dried oregano
2teaspoons dried parsley
2teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1teaspooncayenne pepper
1poundfrozen cooked shrimp without tails
Instructions:
Prepare your ingredients.
Combine the tomatoes, chicken, sausage, onion, green bell pepper, celery, and broth in a slow cooker.
Sprinkle with a flavorful blend of oregano, parsley, Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, and thyme.
Add shrimp to the pot and let them soak up all the flavors by stirring them in 30 minutes before serving, after cooking on Low for 7 to 8 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours.
Spoon the dish over a bed of fluffy, steamed white rice.
