Savory beef meatballs in sweet-tangy sauce - perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 0.5 cup vinegar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together egg and water. Add ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper to the egg mixture and mix well. Shape the mixture into bite-size meatballs and arrange them in a large baking dish.
  • Roast in the heated oven until meatballs are golden brown and cooked through, for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine ketchup, beef bouillon, and vinegar. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cornstarch, then stir into the ketchup mixture. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens and the brown sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Add meatballs, coat with sauce, and serve.
