"Indulgent chocolate chip cookie bars perfect for any party."
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks butter at room temperature
  • 3 cups light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
  • - Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease two 9x13-inch baking pans with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine 3 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another medium bowl, gently coat chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of flour.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and brown sugar until creamy, which should take about 4 to 5 minutes. Add in the eggs, vanilla, and almond extract, mixing well. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture on low speed before gently folding in the chocolate chips.
  • Evenly distribute the batter between the 2 prepared pans and use the back of a metal spoon to spread it thinly, as the bars will expand while baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes until golden brown with edges slightly pulling away from the sides. Allow it to cool completely before cutting into squares.
