Crispy double-fried pork belly squares - a delicious and quick snack.
Ingredients:
  • 2 quarts oil for frying, or as needed
  • 1 pound pork belly, cut into 1-inch squares
Instructions:
  • In a deep-fryer or large saucepan, heat 4 inches of oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Fry pork belly squares in batches until beautifully golden brown, which should take around 5 minutes. Then, let them rest on a bed of paper towels to drain.
  • In a large saucepan, heat 4 inches of oil to 425°F (218°C).
  • Refry pork belly squares in batches until skin "pops," for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then, drain on fresh paper towels.
