Festive sour cream coffee cake with cranberry swirl, perfect for Thanksgiving breakfast or parade watching.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) can whole cranberry sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 10-inch tube pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in almond extract. Gradually blend in a mixture of flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, alternating with sour cream.
  • Spread 1/3 of the batter into the prepared tube pan. Swirl in half of the cranberry sauce, then repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of batter on top.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, approximately 55 minutes in the preheated oven.
