Creamy corn soup made with canned corn, cream cheese, onions, garlic, and parsley for a comforting and easy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 (12 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained
  • 2.5 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ground cayenne pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Assemble all of your ingredients.
  • In a large pot over medium heat, sauté onion, parsley, butter, and minced garlic until onions are tender, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine flour with a whisk to form a thick paste, then gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth until soup slightly thickens.
  • Combine the corn and cream cheese, stirring until warmed.
  • Season with garlic salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to your liking; mix well until fully incorporated.
