Elevate tomato pasta sauce with a splash of white wine for exceptional flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quantity Basic tomato sauce (see related recipe)
  • 125.00 gm dry white wine
  • 82.50 ml reduced-fat cooking cream
  • 125g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 40.00 ml fresh oregano leaves
  • Cooked gnocchi pasta, to serve
  • Salad, to serve
Instructions:
  • Make Basic tomato sauce. Add wine at the end of the cooking process in step 1. Simmer for 2 minutes or until slightly reduced. Proceed to step 2.
  • Stir in cream and half of the tomatoes during the final 5 minutes of cooking. Switch out basil for oregano. Plate with gnocchi and salad, and garnish with the rest of the tomato.
