Grilled oysters topped with seasoned butter - a hit at block parties. Use caution when shucking hot oysters for a delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallot
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons chile-garlic sauce (such as Sriracha®)
  • 12 fresh oysters in shells
Instructions:
  • Combine butter, cilantro, garlic, shallot, 2 tablespoons lime juice, and sriracha in a medium bowl. Shape into a log on waxed paper and freeze until firm.
  • Preheat the grill on high.
  • Grill whole oysters until almost done, about 3 to 5 minutes. Carefully remove the top shell without spilling the liquid. Top each oyster with a 1/4 inch slice of butter and continue grilling until melted. Serve on a bed of rock salt for a beautiful presentation.
