Fresh tomato, onion, bell pepper, and garlic simmered with cumin, paprika, and soy sauce for a delectable spaghetti sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1.5 tomatoes, chopped
  • 0.33333334326744 onion, chopped
  • 0.25 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 tomatoes, quartered
  • 0.66666668653488 onion, chunked
  • 0.25 bell pepper
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water, or as needed
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons dried cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco® Chipotle Pepper Sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, sizzle oil before adding ground beef and cumin. Sauté and stir until meat is lightly browned, about 5 to 10 minutes. Toss in chopped tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until meat is browned and veggies are tender, around 5 to 7 minutes.
  • In a blender, blend together quartered tomatoes, chunked onion, bell pepper, water, vinegar, garlic cloves, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, parsley, cilantro, paprika, soy sauce, hot sauce, brown sugar, and salt until you reach your preferred thickness. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if you prefer a thinner sauce.
  • Cover the ground beef with the sauce and simmer until it thickens to your liking, about 15-20 minutes.
