Indulgent dark chocolate and caramel slice - easy to make and irresistible.
Ingredients:
  • 250.00 ml flour
  • 10.00 gm Cocoa
  • 2.50 gm cinnamon
  • 90.00 gm brown sugar
  • 42.50 gm desiccated coconut
  • 125g butter, melted
  • 2 x 395g cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 167.50 gm golden syrup
  • 80g butter, chopped, extra
  • 125g Dark Chocolate Melts
  • 90g butter, extra, chopped
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, cocoa, cinnamon, sugar, and coconut in a bowl. Mix in melted butter until well combined. Press mixture into a greased and lined 28cm x 18cm slice pan with overhanging paper. Bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a saucepan, melt condensed milk, golden syrup, and additional 80g butter over gentle heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Pour over the base, ensure the surface is smooth, and bake at 180oC for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
  • Melt the chocolate and additional 90g of butter together in a bowl over simmering water until smooth. Spread the mixture over the slice and refrigerate until firm. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until needed. Cut into pieces and serve at room temperature.
