Indulgent yellow cake made with decadent ingredients for the perfect classic birthday treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 8 large egg yolks
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.75 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease and flour two 8-inch round pans.
  • Whisk together sugar and butter in a large bowl until mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg yolks one by one, then blend in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt by sifting in a separate bowl. Slowly mix in the flour mixture and milk alternately until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter into the greased pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake tops spring back when lightly tapped. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pans onto cooling racks.
